Privacy Policy

farttogethergames.com is a fan-run project about Fart Together, with guides, release news and a collection of embedded games from other studios. The people who run it, called "we" on this page, operate the site for visitors in the United States. Below is a plain account of what we see when you visit, why we see it and how to limit it.

The Short Version

  • You never need an account to read a guide or open a game.
  • We do not trade your personal details for money.
  • Routine technical data reaches our server every time a page loads.
  • Advertising partners, Google among them when ads are running, can drop cookies to show and count ads.
  • Games embedded from other providers may use cookies of their own.
  • Your browser settings and the opt-out tools listed below can cut tracking down.

What a Page Visit Reveals

Opening any page passes a bundle of standard information to our host and the tools that keep the site running: your IP address and the rough region it points to, the browser and device you use, the page that linked you here and the time of the visit.

We rely on those records to keep pages loading, see which guides people actually read, catch spam or abuse and track down bugs. We make no attempt to work out who individual visitors are, and we do not merge these logs with outside databases to build profiles.

When You Email Us

A message to our inbox shows us your address, whatever name you sign with and the words you write. That is used for one thing only: reading your note, replying and keeping the thread together.

Writing to us never adds you to a mailing list, and old threads are cleared out once they have served their purpose. If the site ever lets you post a rating or comment, remember that it will be visible to everyone, so leave personal details out of it.

Cookies, Local Storage and Pixels

These small tools let a website remember a setting, count a visit or support an advert. Some come from us directly; others are set by outside services whose code runs on the page, such as an ad network or a game provider.

Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies. Our guides stay readable without them, though embedded games and remembered preferences may behave oddly if you switch everything off.

Advertising Partners

When ads appear, they may be delivered by Google AdSense or other networks that use cookies to tailor what you see based on your browsing here and on other sites. You can switch off personalized Google ads in Google's own ad settings, and many other vendors can be blocked through industry opt-out pages. Turning personalization off does not remove ads; it just makes them less targeted.

Traffic Statistics

We may run analytics software to learn where visitors come from, which pages are popular and how fast pages load. Those tools use cookies or similar methods, but what reaches us are totals and trends rather than anyone's personal browsing history. We use the numbers to improve the site and for nothing else.

Embedded Games and Outside Links

The games in our catalog run on other companies' servers and appear inside frames on our pages. Once a game loads, its provider can log technical data, set cookies and even show its own ads. Their privacy policies, not this one, cover that activity, and the same applies to any external website you reach from a link here.

How Long Information Stays

Server logs and statistics are kept only while they help with security, fixing problems and measuring traffic; after that they are deleted or reduced to anonymous totals. Emails stay around while a reply or follow-up might still be needed.

Children Under 13

The site is written for a general audience rather than young children. Consistent with COPPA, we do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 13. A parent or guardian who thinks a child has sent us something can write to us and we will delete it.

Your Rights in US States With Privacy Laws

People living in states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas can ask to see the personal data we hold about them, get a copy, correct it or have it deleted, and can opt out of its sale or its use for targeted advertising. For Californians these rights come from the CCPA as updated by the CPRA, and advertising cookies from partners may count as "sharing" under that law.

You can use your cookie settings, the opt-out tools above or a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where the law requires. To make a request, email [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject. We may need to confirm your identity, we reply within the time limits the law sets and nobody is treated worse for asking.

Security

Pages are delivered over encrypted connections, and we take sensible steps to protect the small amount of data we hold. Even so, no system on the internet can promise perfect security.

Changes to This Page

This policy may be revised when the site, our partners or the law change. The newest version always replaces this page, and using the site after an update means the updated version applies.
